I used to be a bit of a philosophical solipsist.
Fanatically fantasizing about the superpowers I coveted. And daydreaming of the day I’d finally learn to lucid dream.
I spent so much time in my head that I started to wonder how much of my reality came from inside of me as it did from the outside in.
These days, my reality exists in many more shared environments, so my Descartian delusions have since subsided.
But still, some remnants remain.
I still hunger for a world full of fantasy. I believe that our superpowers are limited in this reality, but that we have the ability to design our worlds in a way that helps us exceed all of our humanly expectations.
Reject reality and substitute your own.
Our spaces shape the way we think, act, and feel. Oftentimes subliminally.
And I think that offers an opportunity way too cool to pass up!
Which is why you’ll often find me talking about how we can use those influences to our advantage. How can we design our outer worlds (whether digital or physical) as tools to sharpen our inner world.
